GEL AND SOLUTION RADADENT® PLUS ARE THE ITEMS OF MEDICAL PURPOSE FOR PHOTODYNAMIC THERAPY (PDT) OF INFLAMMATORY DISEASES OF ORAL CAVITY

The actuality of PDT in dentistry.

The inflammatory diseases of oral cavity are the most wide spread diseases in dentistry, because the quantity of antibiotic resistant microorganism is increasing year to year. But it is possible to struggle with such microorganisms not using antibiotics due to PDT.

The method of PDT is based on the possibility of pathologic cells and bacterial cells to accumulate photosensitizers. After laser exposure with definite length of wave in photosensitized cells begins photochemical reaction, which is conducted with generation of singlet oxygen and free radicals – high active biological oxidizers, cytotoxic for the most biological objects. This leads to destruction of microorganisms and pathologic cells.

Gel and solution RadaDent® plus are effective, safe and available photosensitizers, developed together with stomatologists specially for treatment of oral cavity diseases.

Indications:

• Infectious and inflammatory diseases of periodontium and mucous cover of oral cavity
• Abnormality of microcirculation and metabolism in periodontium tissues
• Gingivitis
• Local periodontitis
• Generalized periodontitis
• Pulpitis
• Exogenous abnormality of enamel colour

It has been also included in the program of improvement of stomatologists in Russian Medical Academy of Postgraduation Education.

Training of PDT with RadaDent® plus is holded on the Department of Stomatology in Russian Medical Academy of Postgraduation Education and in training centre of professor Igor A. Shugailov «Intelstom» LtD.
